Parents are being urged to reconsider their advice to their children about using protective gear and how to deal with a potentially life-threatening infection.
The new film, titled Childrens guidance, is being promoted by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and the Department of Primary Industries.
The film shows young children exploring the possibilities of life with the coronas virus and the challenges of being a parent.
It also gives parents a preview of the coronovirus vaccine and explains the risks of exposure to it.
The movie was written and directed by John Sayers, who is also a producer on the film.
Its production has been supported by the Department for Education, the Department, the Australian Medical Association, the Victorian Government, the ABC and the University of New South Wales.
It has been screened at schools, colleges and hospitals across the country.
The ABC has decided not to air it on air.
