It’s time to pick the best duos for a team to rely on in the 2019/20 Premier League season.
With Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all looking set to be promoted to the top flight, it’s time for the pundits to start making their decisions.
A big part of this decision is about the quality of the players, so let’s look at the top ten in the country, with the aim of getting a feel for how a player’s ability will compare to other players in the competition.
The first player to make a splash this season, Harry Kane, will likely feature heavily in the top five, as he has made the most of his opportunities to impress in the last two months.
However, it will be interesting to see whether Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli, who has been a regular fixture in the starting XI for his club, will be the player who dominates the game in the coming months.
He was superb in the 2-1 win over Southampton, with a goal and an assist in the win and his strike was superb as well.
He was also a key part of Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Tottenham in the Europa League and will have a huge impact on any team looking to progress to the next level.
As for Leicester City, there is no doubt in my mind that Yannick Bolasie has been the standout performer of the Premier League so far, but he will be hard to ignore when the season kicks off.
Bolasie has not only impressed in the Premier Leagues, but has been hugely impressive in France, winning the Golden Boot with seven goals in the two competitions.
The Frenchman has the ability to create goals with his ability to run at defenders and create space for himself.
The question of who will be playing on Saturday is going to be difficult, but it will not be a question of which player will start the game.
If Tottenham Hotspurs Mauricio Pochettino wants to push forward, he will have to go with Alli and Alli alone.
But, if he wants to stay focused on his team’s title ambitions, then Dele Allis, Dele Allimoudi and Dele Allochettino should all feature.
With the likes of Harry Kane and Riyad Mahrez playing regularly for their respective clubs, it is only a matter of time before they are joined by another top-class player from a top European club.
