A dad who died in a road rage crash has been charged after a woman allegedly tried to set him on fire.

“The father of the victim was not involved in the collision, and there is no indication of any drugs or alcohol involvement,” a police spokesman said.
“He was driving on the shoulder of the road when the driver of the vehicle attempted to take the father off the road.”
The father had been riding his father’s motorcycle in the north-west Coorpira region when the collision happened.
“Police have been in contact with the driver and have spoken to his girlfriend, who is also an eyewitness,” the spokesman said, adding that he was not being charged.
“At this stage, the matter is being referred to the Collier County Police Service (CCPS), who are investigating.”
The mother of the man involved, who was driving in the same lane as the father, was arrested on Thursday morning and was being questioned.
Police said they had received “significant information” about the case from the woman.
