With Game of Thrones season five just over two months away, EW is bringing you all the latest news on what you need to know about the series finale.
First, EW spoke to Game of Throne actress Gwendoline Christie about how she felt about the finale, her role in season five, and what the next few episodes will be like.
“I’m not really sure what the story is.
I can’t really tell you.
But it’s very exciting, because I’m excited about it, and it’s been a long time,” Christie said.
“It’s a very exciting time.
It’s like being on the big screen in the West.
We’ve been there before, and there’s a lot of people, a lot more, that are really excited about that, and they’ve been going to it since the first episode.
So I feel like it’s the right time for me to go back there.
And the fact that I’m so young, so ready, so excited to be in that world, and being a part of it, I think that’s something that will make me feel like, ‘Yeah, I’m in it.'”
Christie also shared her thoughts on how much the series has changed since its original series finale in 2017.
“There’s definitely things that are different, and things that haven’t changed that much,” she said.
Christie was also asked about her role as an actress in the new series.
“I’ve always been interested in acting, and I think I’ve always had an interest in playing women in the role,” she explained.
“That’s the thing that has always been kind of fun, to be able to do something different.
To have a woman that I can really relate to in a really interesting way, I feel very comfortable with.”
Christie also spoke about her thoughts about the new season, and how she feels about the season’s ending.
“As an actress, you just want to be a part.
That’s the only thing you really want to do.
You want to put on a show that’s good and it’ll have a good ending,” Christie explained.
While Christie was asked about how much she is excited about playing the role of Cersei Lannister, she wasn’t so sure about the final season’s finale.
“To be honest, I can not really say anything about that because it’s a secret, and everybody’s secrets, and nobody wants to talk about that.
But, I will say that the last season, I felt really great.
I felt very good, I didn’t feel bad.
I just feel really, really, very excited.
And I think we’re going to have a really fun season, too,” Christie added.
With that, EW brings you all of the latest on the latest “Game of Throne” season finale, along with some other scoop from the series.
The “Wicked” actress and her husband, Benjen Stark, have been on a very private mission since the end of season four.
When EW caught up with Christie about her new role in “Game,” she told us she’s really excited for it.
“We’re in this very, very private moment, and we’re just getting to know each other, and everything’s just going so well.
We’re really excited.
I feel so fortunate to be here,” Christie continued.
It was Christie’s first time as a “Game” cast member.
She’s also playing the main character’s sister, Arya Stark.
“My first time on a Game, I played Arya,” Christie shared.
“And it was a really big deal, and really, truly amazing.
And so, I don’t know what it’s going to be like, but I’m really excited to see how that goes.
I think it’s an amazing show.
And you just never know what you’re going.
I’m thrilled to be on it.
It was great, really.”
Christie is also set to play one of the series’ most important characters, Margaery Tyrell.
She said she was very excited to work with the actress.
“She is so amazing.
I mean, she’s a really, super talented actress.
And she’s just such a wonderful person, and she’s so kind, and so funny, and very, so beautiful,” Christie told EW.
She also revealed that the show’s producers have already had an open mind about her character.
“The producers have had a really good look at me,” Christie noted.
“They really have had an ear.
They’ve looked at the role and have really liked it.
They haven’t liked the last few episodes, but they are very open to me, and to other actors, and the writers, and all of that.
So, they have an open, and open mind to play me, to play Marga and all these other characters.”
