A father’s worst nightmare: A child doesn’t want to come home.
And parents need to take responsibility for what happens next.
“I know that the parents are going to be overwhelmed,” said the father, who asked not to be named because of his position.
“I know we’re going to have a very hard time finding a place to sleep, because I have a wife that works, so I have to put up with a lot of stress.
But if I’m doing what is best for the child, then I am doing my best.
I think what’s really important for parents is to just be open-minded, to be kind, to try to make the best decisions for their child.””
I can’t stress this enough: No one knows what’s going to happen,” the father said.
“When it’s your child, the first thing you do is just make sure that he or she knows that you care about them.”

“If the child is a good child and wants to be there, then you have to be willing to take the risk.
If you don’t, then it’s very hard to make a choice.
I think it’s always best to know what your child needs, and be willing, but not to force it.”
